Personal injury claims advice
Accidents can take place on the road, at work, whilst you are in care or in public places. Whilst some of these incidents are simply unavoidable we provide assistance if there is reason to pursue a claim.
We avoid the approach of some personal injury firms and “in your face” high pressure operators falling over themselves to get your claim. We refuse to pay referral fees to third parties and we will act in your best interests at all times.
In almost all of the personal injury cases we deal with we recover our costs from the opponent and we make no charge to our client.
Workplace injuries and accidents
Health and safety laws in the UK have grown, with your rights as a worker protected by a series of provisions regarding equipment, facilities and materials.
Employers are required to provide suitable equipment and training. The workplace also needs to be free of tripping hazards, and be equipped with safety equipment. Should you have suffered a workplace accident or injury, and any of these factors not been of the necessary legal standards, then you may have a case for workplace injury compensation.
Road traffic accidents
Quite apart from the inconvenience and disruption caused to you as a result of the accident, the pain and suffering you endure because of the injury you suffered and the financial consequences of the injury and accident can all too easily escalate.
Having to establish your right to be compensated and persuade the person who caused the accident (or more likely their insurer) to pay an appropriate amount of compensation can be tiresome and frustrating.
Whether yours was an accident that happened whilst you were at work; if the other driver cannot be traced or the other driver was not insured; or if you are the dependent of someone who was involved in a fatal accident let us take away some of the strain.
Criminal injuries
If you have suffered an injury as the result of a crime of violence, you may be entitled to compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).
The person who committed the crime against you need not be found or charged for the crime although you will need to have complied with certain astringent requirements set out by the CICA.
The application must normally be made within 2 years of the date of the crime of violence and it must be reported to the Police by you as soon as possible after it has occurred and you must assist the Police as far as possible.
Whilst not strictly necessary in pursuing a claim it is sensible to seek professional and expert legal advice and we will give you the required professional support to make a claim.
Clinical negligence
Clinical negligence claims are very difficult to bring as you need to prove that the treatment you received was below the standard of a reasonably competent medical practitioner and that caused your injury.
If you feel you have such a claim to bring against the medical profession you will need advice from a solicitors’ firm that is not afraid of taking on a large institution.
Accidents in public places
The range of places counted as public places is lengthy, and includes most amenities generally used by the public. The owners of these properties are obliged to ensure that they do not pose a threat.
If you have suffered an accident or injury by tripping, slipping and falling or by suffering any other kind of accident in a public place you may be able to recover compensation and we will ensure that you get the right support and assistance and the appropriate compensation for your injury.
