Do you have a Will? If so is it valid?

There are three requirements for a valid Will:

• The person who has made the Will has "capacity".
• The person who has made the Will has general and specific "intention" to make the Will.
• The signature of the person who has made the Will and the form of the Will must comply with the required "formalities".

Wills should be regularly updated to account for changes in financial and personal circumstances. For instance marriage revokes a Will unless the Will shows contrary intentions.
